September 2026 is shaping up to be one of the busiest months of the year for K-pop, with more than 25 confirmed comebacks, debuts and solo releases spread across major and independent labels. Industry tracking sites point to the first two weeks of the month, September 1β6 and September 7β13, as the heaviest stretches, packed with releases from established groups, rising acts and high-profile soloists all courting the genre's global fanbase.
Leading the pack is LE SSERAFIM, which announced its second single album, "Made My Night," for release on September 11 at 1 p.m. KST, just four months after its last studio album. Source Music unveiled the news through Weverse on August 28, opening pre-orders the same day, with a promotional rollout that includes a highlight medley on September 7 and a music video premiere on September 10 ahead of the single's international release on October 9. The label has described the record as built around the idea that chemistry between people can turn an ordinary night unforgettable.
MONSTA X returns on September 4 with the mini-album "The Phase," led by the title track "MAGIC," marking the six-member group's first Korean comeback in roughly a year. The release reportedly continues a narrative introduced during the group's recent world tour, picking up where concert visuals left off, and will be followed by a North American tour starting in October.
BLACKPINK's Lisa and Jisoo add extra star power to the opening week with back-to-back solo drops. Lisa releases the single "SaWaDiKa" on September 3 as a preview ahead of her full album "PRESS PLAY," due October 23, while Jisoo follows on September 4 with her own single, "Click."
SM Entertainment is also driving a busy stretch of the month. SHINee's Minho releases his second mini-album, "Make it Hot," on September 7, while NCT's Ten puts out the single "OUTWEST" on September 4. The label has confirmed that Girls' Generation-HRS β a new subunit made up of Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung that grew out of content on Hyoyeon's personal YouTube channel β will debut sometime in the third quarter, alongside NCT 127's seventh full album, "BLINGY," later in the same window. HYBE's &TEAM, meanwhile, returns September 8 with its second Korean mini-album, "Mark on Me," which the group has described as a shift toward a more open, vulnerable concept.
The rest of the calendar remains crowded with notable names: VERIVERY's eighth mini-album "CONFETTI" and PENTAGON's 10th-anniversary single both figure into the first two weeks, (G)I-DLE's Soyeon issues her debut full album "What a Wonderful Life," and Chung Ha, 82MAJOR and Kwon Eunbi open the month with new singles. Later in September, HYBE's BOYNEXTDOOR is set to drop a repackaged version of its debut full album on September 28 while touring Japan, and former 2NE1 member Minzy is also expected with a new single the same day. A handful of releases, including NiziU's first Korean mini-album, remain listed without confirmed dates, meaning the full September lineup could still shift in the weeks ahead.
