August 2026 K-Pop Comeback Schedule: Stray Kids, ENHYPEN, Jennie and Taemin Lead a Packed Month

South Korea's music industry is heading into a packed August 2026, with a comeback calendar that spans veteran boy groups, girl-group icons, solo superstars and a fresh wave of rookies making their first bow. According to an updated schedule compiled by fan-tracking outlet KpopOfficial, more than two dozen acts are set to release new music or debut across the month, underscoring how crowded — and competitive — the K-pop release cycle has become as labels jockey for chart position and streaming attention during the peak summer season.

The month opens strong, with Stray Kids issuing a compilation release on August 1 before returning with the mini album "This & That" on August 7, giving the group two moments in the spotlight within the same month. Red Velvet also marks its return on August 3 with the summer-themed "Velvet Summer" EP led by the single "Surfin' Boy," while SEVENTEEN member Dino releases solo material under the moniker Picheolin. Girl groups KISS OF LIFE, ARTMS and KiiiKiii round out a busy first two weeks, alongside overseas pushes from WayV and TWS in Japan.

Momentum builds further in the back half of August. Tomorrow X Together drops a new Japanese single on August 17, while ONEWE returns with its third full album "Unknown Atlas" on August 19. Veteran solo acts also feature prominently: Girls' Generation's Tiffany Young unveils her first full-length album "Edge of Calm" on August 20, the same day former TVXQ member Kim Jae Joong releases a new single and Oh My Girl's Mimi steps out with her solo debut "Bish Bash Bosh."

ENHYPEN closes out the third week with its eighth mini album "THE SIN: BLISS" on August 21, featuring the title track "Bloody Paradise," setting up a dense final stretch of releases. August 24 alone brings comebacks from NCT 127, whose seventh album "BLINGY" arrives alongside new music from ALPHA DRIVE ONE and rookie act NEXZ, plus the debut of newcomer group TUIDE.

The month wraps with two of the most closely watched releases of the year: BLACKPINK's Jennie unveils her digital EP "Fallen Angel" on August 28, and SHINee's Taemin returns with the album "PHASE 1: Soft Violence" on August 31, both expected to draw significant attention from fans and industry watchers alike. SF9 also returns on August 26 with its second full album "TENACITY."

Beyond the marquee names, the schedule highlights K-pop's continuing appetite for new talent, with debut acts including HUH JIWON of Cherry Bullet, OURBIRTHDAY and Splayit joining the roster of artists competing for attention in an increasingly saturated market.
