Flakt Group, the HVAC subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has announced the commencement of hiring in Gwangju, South Korea, in anticipation of a groundbreaking ceremony for a new production line scheduled for Monday.
The hiring initiative marks the first since the establishment of Flakt Group Korea, focusing on roles in finance, logistics, and procurement. The new facility aims to enhance Samsung's capabilities in the HVAC sector, particularly for AI data centers.
Located within the Cheomdan Science and Industry Complex, the new production line will be built at Samsung's Gwangju plant, which has been a significant manufacturing site since 1989. The facility is set to span 21,780 square meters and is expected to begin operations by early 2028.
This expansion is part of Samsung's strategy to integrate Flakt Group's advanced HVAC technologies into its domestic operations, further solidifying its position in the global market for AI data center solutions.
