South Korean officials are analyzing the details of these claims, emphasizing that North Korea's reports often contain propaganda and should not be fully trusted. A spokesperson for the Joint Chiefs of Staff noted that North Korea has a history of using such tactics.
Kim Jong Un, who supervised the missile tests, claimed that the new technology would pose significant challenges to adversaries. These missile launches coincide with ongoing discussions among U.S., South Korean, and Japanese officials regarding regional security and denuclearization efforts.
